Well, someone just kick me now while I am down because I now really regret not making the trip to San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). Today, through Deadline.com, it was hinted that Stephenie Meyer, author of The Host, will be giving those in attendance at tomorrow’s Breaking Dawn panel a special surprise. Deadline has gotten word that it will involve The Host, though whether it will be footage or something else, is not for sure.
I am still a bit miffed why Lionsgate/Summit would allow an Open Road Film production to crash their panel, even though Stephenie Meyer is involved in both. It would have made more sense to have the footage at the Open Road Films panel. I am sure those loyal to Stephenie Meyer would have stuck around for that one as well.
In any case, we will post about what is seen in the panel tomorrow as soon as we can. Are we hoping for footage or something else?
Update: Jake Abel tweeted about the surprise, but says nothing about what it is.
