On Location Casting has begun pulling photos and looking through their registry for The Host. On Location Casting operates in a few different regions, and one of them is New Mexico. The Host is expected to start filming in New Mexico in April. They have been filming in Louisiana.
If you are interested in being an extra for The Host and live in New Mexico, go to their website (http://www.onlocationcasting.net). Please be aware that you do not have to pay to upgrade your account to be considered for The Host. A basic, free account is enough to get you considered. I would also recommend “liking” their Facebook page to get up-to-date information on casting calls. Good Luck!
Update (3/29/2012): I would highly suggest liking their Facebook page again. More information has come from On Location Casting about what kind of people they are looking for. They have posted the dates of filming in New Mexico. The production will be there from 4/9/2012 until 4/28/2012, filming in Farmington and Albuquerque. If you are a big fan of the book and the upcoming film, here is a great chance to be part of it and make some money also. I would do it if I lived anywhere near New Mexico. Director will picture pick every single extra, NO exceptions! He will NOT consider anyone with a black & white photo and is requesting one Head/Face shot and one Full Body shot of each person. If you don’t have both photos in your profile, you may not be considered. Bad quality, blurry, stretched, photos with more than one person – will NOT be considered.
